Consistency is Key
The key to success is consistency. I believe this is true in every aspect in life. In order to make progress, you need to continuously and habitually put in the right amount of effort. This is also true for building a strong brand in the market place. And your content strategy will also benefit from being consistent.
Repeat your message
Like any Marketing Superhero knows, you need to repeat your message often. Your audience need to hear it multiple times to get it imprinted properly. But since repetition has a risk of ware out — especially in an age where everything needs to be new and fresh — it is wise to reformulate your key messages in inspiring new ways. That is why you need to keep your content calendar interesting.
Stick to a clear format
Using a script or formula helps build consistency. For example the way you frame pictures, use your brand logo or display video content. This all helps your audience to link this content back to your brand. But don’t be afraid to try out new ideas. Utilise new ways to tell your story. Test them out and consistently reuse the once that work. So you can include this as a new format.
As you might have guessed, I have a “thing” with Superheroes. This is a format I use for my content strategy and ebook. I find it funny — I hope you too — and it inspires me to create new content for you guys. Again consistency is key here too. So for Carnival this year, I have put on my red cape and saved the day as Superman. Driving a consistent personal brand story. Although I had already bought a different suit earlier this year. Which one? That shall remain a riddle* for now!
